Yesterday I did a foolish thing

Now it could be said I do foolish things quite often, but as they go this one is very daft. I signed up for the Edinburgh Marathon that takes places in May next year. My reasoning for it? Just cos eh. I’ve always talked about running one and my physio recommended taking up jogging to help recover from a knee injury. I did and enjoyed it and from there suddenly decided running a marathon was the next logical step.

So what now? I’m lost in a world of training schedules, gait measurements and pedometers. I feel hopelessly out of my depth but I’m determined to make a go of it.

Wish me luck, I’ll need it.
